Diet

What you choose to feed your rats will influence their life and overall well being.  I'm a firm believer in holistic health, and I try to be mindful of every aspects of my rats health - mentally, physically, and emotionally.  Diet plays a huge part in all of this! Please do as much research as possible before adopting. Here's a few tips and personal recommendations from my very own program!

Main Diet

Your rats main diet, which should be about 80% of what they eat, should be a high quality block feed.  Pay attention to the ingredients and be sure to choose a protein level of 14-16% and 4-6% fat. If it's any less, they may be malnurished, and any more could cause health issues, obesity, and protein itch with males.
